Hey Franklin, I wouldn't hold your breath for Porter to say these policemen did anything wrong. I'll believe it when I see it. His letter downplays what the police did. For example, he writes:
"The decision was made to approach the Civic and question the driver. As the agents approached the Civic, it began to back out of the parking space."
"Both were dressed in plain clothes with their badges hanging on chains around their necks."
Anyone a little more objective would not write "the agents approached the Civic". They would instead describe it as three undercover police flying up in a blace Escalade and running toward Ayers with guns drawn (over a suspected $50 drug deal that did not actully occur!), scaring the hell out of him and making him try to get away from what he thought were gang members trying to rob him.
Bottom Line: Porter misrepresents what occurred and uses that misrepresentation to reach his conclusion that the officers' actions were at worst, "questionable". It makes me scared to live in Gwinnett County when our DA cuts such slack to police who kill an innocent man. Oh, maybe I misunderstood what "DA" stands for. ;-)

So whatever happened to that murder, Billy Shane Harrison? Was he reinstated by the corrupt sheriff of Stephens County yet? After all, there may still be some Pastors roaming the streets and terrorizing the citizens of Toccoa. We need all the drug addicted, convicted robber cops as we can find to rid our community of the scourge of innocent pastors!

THANK GOD ! THANK GOD! THE MAN IS CLEARLY GUILTY OF MURDER. HE WAS NOT EVEN QUALIFIED TO USE DEADLY FORCE AND THE POLICE FORCE KNEW IT THATS WHY IT TOOK THEM 6 MONTHS TO COVER UP JONATHANS MURDER. I HOPE THE FAMILY SUES THE HELL OUT OF THE POLICE AND THEN GOES AFTER EACH OFFICER INVOLVED FROM THE SHERRIFF DOWN FOR THERE PERSONAL ASSETTS. AN EXAMPLE NEEDS TO BE SET SO THINGS LIKE THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did he find the evidence he was looking for: ....
a)::: There is no evidence in the file that Toccoa Police Department or the Stephens County Sheriffs Department were aware of the NCIS operation in Toccoa.
Or did he find this evidence eventually?........B) "There is no evidence in the file as to whether or not NCIS agents had access to jackets or vests which would clearly identify them as police officers."
Or this evidence:.......C) There is no evidence in the file that if the agents had access to these identifiers, whether a choice was made not to use them.

Did you know that DA Brian Rickman had DA Danny Porter appear before the Grand Jury and review those findings with them as part of their grand jury investigation?

? There is no evidence in the file as to whether or not NCIS agents had access to jackets or vests which would clearly identify them as police officers.

The system in Georgia is so broken I wouldn't know where to begin to try to bring about change. 1) How are juries formed and selected? Who controls this process? 2) Who controls the information that is (selectively) fed to the grand jury to influence their decisions?
There are many problems, but can anyone think of where to start? I think that some of these problems might be beyond the realm of what a few concerned citizens can change.
In the meantime maybe a good place to start, as some on this board have done, is to list names of officials who quite frankly aren't doing there jobs in ensuring the publics safety. Not demonstrating by their administrative actions and by example that our safety is a priority to them.
There are many problems, but can anyone think of where to start? I think that some of these problems might be beyond the realm of what a few concerned citizens can change.

Thats because theirs nothing to be said about her.You evidently did not know Jonathan or you would NO BETTER.Besides that has nothing to do with Billy shooting him.Anyone that really knew Jonathan knows his reputation and his passion to serve GOD stands for itselfs.He loved his wife,church,and family.

Nothing much is being said about him being with his prostitute. We know why he was running now, he did not want to be exposed for what he had been doing. He will have to answer to the good lord for that.

It's a coverup for the cops. The d.a. is their superior, so you know it wasn't honest. He only asked other da's that he knew, so they would go along with him.
